Why Men Are So Confusing to Women

Whether single or in a serious marriage, women are often confused by men. Let’s face it; there’s no handbook that explains a man’s odd behavior, and any attempt at understanding a man’s behavior often leads to even more confusion.

The big reason that men are so confusing to women is actually sort of simple. Men and women operate completely differently when it comes to psychology! I’m not the first to say it, either; expert authors have said the same thing for years and years, but that doesn’t make it any less true today.

In order for a woman to understand men, she has to first understand male psychology. And to understand male psychology, a woman has to accept and come to grips with the fact that men are actually wired to think differently.

These differences are most evident when examining the differences in male and female conversations. Ever noticed how when women get together, they tend to talk about guys and what they want in a relationship? Women have this idea of finding their dream man and settling down.

Men are almost the complete opposite. They are not too heavily emotionally invested in fantasies of perfect relationships. Instead, men tend to take a day by day approach with their love life, and don’t spend too much time reflecting. That’s not to say that men don’t talk about women, because they do. It’s just that the tone, depth, and purpose of their conversation is miles apart from their female counterparts.

It’s pretty obvious that most guys are not all that into discussing deeply emotional things with their buddies. Instead, “guy talk” usually consists of seemingly shallow conquests and goals.

The key to understanding men is to stop fighting the differences and instead, accepting the fact that you will never completely see eye to eye with a man. Once you accept this fact, you can begin to use male psychology to your advantage rather than viewing it as a hurdle that you must overcome.

Men, in their thought processes, are often more inclined to approach things logically rather than emotionally. Men, like women, are emotional creatures who base their actions off of their emotions. But unlike women, men are not brought up in society to wear these emotions on their sleeve, and so men often mask their actions with a thought process that they call logic. Because this “logical” approach is often times just a front to conceal their emotional tendencies, men often end up causing women a great deal of stress and headaches.

It may seem like a lot of effort to learn what makes men tick. In many ways, it is comparable to learning a foreign language. Still, if you think about it, a big chunk of most women’s lives are wasted being frustrated and confused with men. If you can skip all of that frustration, confusion, and heartache, and learn to truly understand men, then you will truly hold the key to emotional well being and satisfaction. And that, ladies, makes understanding men worth all of the effort in the world.
