If the beach is to be a theme for a summer wedding use aqua and white with a few peachy hues thrown in. Navy and white would even be a great theme because it so crisp and clean. Wedding flowers can consist of daisies, zinnias, black eyed Susan or if you wish to go more formal use roses. You can place artificial ladybugs, dragonflies, or butterflies in the arrangement for a hint of whimsy. Beach themes can utilize sand or sea shells in the arrangements. A single rose with baby’s breath can make up a boutonniere and bouquets can consist of massive flowers that bloom in the summer.

During the fall darker colors are in order with red, orange, brown, yellow and jewel tones. You can also go with some metallic colors like gold or bronze. Use autumn leaves while they are available and there is an abundance of them during the fall. They are made in silk but you can also get the dried variety as well. Use pumpkins, gourds, and squash painted with gold paint or sprinkles so people do not get the idea that the theme is Halloween. Grapes also ripen in the fall so you can use clusters of grapes and go with purple for your colors. Apples also come into season in the fall as do cranberries so you can use those red hues in your arrangements and bouquets This is harvest so you can incorporate sheaves of wheat in the table decorations. A great idea for a bridal bouquet is white mums dipped in gold glitter. Sunflowers are in season along with dried flowers.

The white of snow can be the theme for a winter wedding or you can go with dark rich colors. White or blue flowers that have been dipped in silver will give a wintry feel. The popular white and black theme can be used during the winter. Holiday weddings are fun and holly and mistletoe can be used along with the green and red Christmas colors. Instead of bouquets bridesmaids can carry lanterns with tea lights inside and roses and greenery placed about them. Or they can carry battery powered candles with some flowers. Use evergreens everywhere because they are a sign of the season. Use a wreath on each table with a candle in the center. Use holly and a red rose for a boutonniere while the bridal bouquet can consist of red roses, amaryllis blooms, poinsettias, or holly. Place some little bells that cascade down for some Christmas whimsy.
